Saviour Machine is a graphic novel in progress, the pet project and bid for fame and fortune of Izzy *

[link] (<--shitty old stuff. Iz won't let me take the link down. Ahaha.)
The Story:
Set in the smog-covered cyberpunk citadel of Bast,
Saviour Machine is a story of good vs. evil, humanity vs. its oppressors, and people with radioactive hair colors vs. the cops. It is the story of an art counterculture, a repressive society, a sinister religion, a bloody revolution, and one average chick caught in the middle who just wants to be left alone with her tea and her stoned cat. It features deep social commentary, quite a few cultural
ripoffs references, techno-gadgets you wish you could own, Izzy's beautiful characters you wish you could snog, gratuitous violence, sexual tension, and hella profanity. Also giant robot crabs.
The Characters:

Zoe Kilcooley: Our reluctant heroine. She's your average kid whose biggest worry is how to pay the rent, that is until the plot comes knocking.

Logan Ackley: Zoe's buddy, the king of spaz. Goes by his last name. Scariest taxi driver in Bast and revolutionary enthusiast.

Marion Ackley: Ackley's older brother. Scariest thug in Bast. He's got a metal-enhanced structure, yo.

Watt McAda: Snarky and dentally challenged pick-pocket. Part of Marion's gang.

Denny Engles: Bass-playin' tough guy. Sleep enthusiast. Part of Marion's gang; his best mate.

Jasper Labaume: Counterculture wannabe of Yuppie-brat origin. Grafitti "artiste." Part of Marion's gang.

Puck: A pyromaniac fourteen-year-old who looks like an imp. Nobody knows anything about him. Last of Marion's gang.

Cyril Banning: Bast's Chief of Police, and an agent of pure evil. Our merciless antagonist, he has every criminal in the city shitting their pants.

Tabitha Shires: A prominent figure in the counter-culture scene, Tab runs some of the Virtual Reality Machines at the local hang-out, the Red Menace.

Armand Serevolte: An aristocrat and acclaimed doctor, dealing in cosmetic surgery and technological implants. In his secret double life, he throws crazy Warholesque art parties and leads the secret revolutionary organisation known as the Ziponte.

Tobius Finch: Smuggler, black market hot shot, purveyor of sundry contraband. Though far from an idealist, he provides most of the Ziponte's arsenal at reduced prices because of his personal feelings for Armand.

The Phanidelot: Super-evil Pope equivalent in the Bastian religion.

The Prime Minister: Corrupt official. The Phanidelot's puppet. But that's not terribly important, since Banning's manipulating both of them anyway.

Shroom: Zoe's retarded cat. He's got a really long neck and mushrooms for ears. Genetic science is a strange and wondrous thing.
